ROUNDERS (1988)
Rounder: A person who travels from city to city playing very high-risk poker games.
The stakes are high as Matt Damon and Edward Norton decide to gamble their money and their lives in Rounders. A broke poker player (Damon) turns his back on the game to study law, but his gambling buddy Worm (Norton) manages to bring him back to the table and into deep, dangerous water with the mob. Tension packed with a scene-stealing performance from John Malkovich as Russian club owner Teddy KGB, Rounders manages to make the cool card game even cooler whilst adding a deadly game of cat and mouse to each hand.
