I don't understand Region Coding. How can I tell if a disc will play on my player?

If you are in North America, and you purchased your player in North America, the player you likely own plays

  • NTSC Region 1/Region 0 DVDs
  • Region A / All Region Blu-rays
  • All 4K UHDs. 4K discs are meant to be region free, and playable anywhere. *Please note that if a 4k title comes with any additional blu-ray discs, these may be restricted to a region outside of North America (usually when the title is an import). In which case, our listing will state something like, "Region free 4k, Region B (etc.) blu ray"

If a title we sell is not playable on a North American player, the item listing will state the respective region code, so you will know whether or not you can play it. If you do not see a region code listed, it is because it is playable in North America. You might see titles that say "Region Free" or "All Region"; this means the disc is not locked to one region and can be played on all players.

If you are in North America, your player will most likely only play NTSC Region 1/Region 0 DVDs or Region A / All Region Blu-Rays. Players that will play and convert any disc from around the world are easily found at 220-Electronics.com

DVD
REGION 1: USA and Canada (NTSC)
REGION 2: Europe (PAL), Japan (NTSC), South Africa, Middle East
REGION 3: South-East Asia (primarily NTSC)
REGION 4: Central and South America (NTSC), Australia (PAL), New Zealand (PAL)
REGION 5: Former Soviet Union, India, Pakistan, Africa (primarily NTSC)
REGION 6: China (primarily NTSC)

Blu-Ray
Region A: North America, Central America, South America, Japan, Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.
Region B: Europe, Greenland, French territories, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
Region C: India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Mainland China, Pakistan, Russia, Central and South Asia.

*Please note that even when import Blu-Rays are all region, not all special features will play on all players.

What do all the terms on product listings mean? I keep seeing phrasing like "LE" and "w/ slip)"

Because we cater to collector's, we try to give as much detail about our titles as possible. To avoid confusion, here is a brief summary of some of the terms you will see on our listings:

  • "LE" or "LTD" - Limited Edition
  • "SE" or "STD" - Standard Edition
  • "w/ Slip" - Item comes with a slipcover 
  • "*See Note" - This is usually when the slip cover or packaging has minor damage or wear, a great concern from some collectors. The product then might be priced at a slight discount. The extent of the damage will be noted in the product listing description.

You also might see a word in capital letters at the end of a title, like (SEVERIN) or (88 FILMS). This is simply the label/company that released the title.

You earn 1 point for every dollar you spend. Every $130 you spend (tax and shipping not included) / 130 points earned, gets you a $5 store credit. You can use this towards anything you want. How do I know when I will receive my order?

When you place an order, you will automatically receive an email notification. Once your order is packed, you will receive tracking information. We ship all orders the same day, or the next business day at latest.

Do you accept returns?

I ordered a pre-order item. When will I receive it?

Pre-orders ship as soon as we receive them from our distributors. Occassionally, we receive pre-order titles later than the manufacturers inital projected date. If you wish to purchasse additional items with your pre-order item, we suggest placing a seperate order as a pre-order item will hold up the rest of your shipment. If you're not in a rush to receive the other items, then you can place just one order. 

Do you ship internationally?

At the moment, we ship only domestically, within the United States. However, this could change in the near future.

Why don't you guys sell titles from this label or that label?

We're a new store. We're currently in the process of aquiring titles from labels that are not in our store at present. If there are titles from a specific label you would like to see in our store, feel free to suggest it to us at info@odysseymovies.com
