THE MEDIUM (1980)
Directed by Silvio Amadio
Starring Guido Mannari, Sherry Buchanan, Martine Brochard
Following the death of his wife, an American music composer (Guido Mannari - Caligula) moves to an old mansion in Rome with his young son. They are soon haunted by a series of inexplicable events, causing them to hire a medium to divine the true nature of their seemingly cursed existence!
A creepy supernatural chiller which eschews the excess usually associated with Italian horror for a more restrained and atmospheric approach akin to The Changeling - The Medium was supposedly the result of director Silvio Amadio (Amuck!) being influenced by the real life guidance of a medium and his spirit messengers, who purportedly consulted from beyond the grave!
Co-starring Sherry Buchanan (Zombie Holocaust, Tentacles) and Martine Brochard (Mannaja: A Man Called Blade, Eyeball), The Medium makes its UK Blu-ray debut filled to the brim with bonus materials in this much-treasured special edition!
